This historic hotel is located on Usedom, a tourist island on the Baltic Sea off the northern border of Germany. Usedom, a popular summer holiday resort since the 19th century, is becoming the favourite destination for trendy Berliners to spend the weekend and its connection to the capital of Germany is now as legendary as that of Brighton with London and the Hamptons with NewYork City. The difficult task of the designers was to completely redesign the hotel on the beach, trying to blend the style and architectural elements of the past with the needs of a modern hotel. Using the wide and complete range of products by Ceramica Sant'Agostino, Architect Jasmine Mahmoudieh has skilfully mixed different material finishes: the extraordinary painted wood effect of BLENDART, the natural stone effect of HIGHSTONE and SHADESTONE, the classic designs of PATCHWORK cement tiles, the refined decorative elements for the SHABBY and METROCHIC bathroom. The result of these choices is an extraordinary dynamism that gives life to a modern and informal environment capable of transmitting pleasant sensations suspended between past and future. From a safety point of view, Ceramica Sant’Agostino products comply with the most restrictive industry standards and are the synthesis of the important work that the company has been developing for many years to combine high technology, ethics and environmental sustainability.
